Good to know
- The formula is MET times kilograms times hours, with MET values from the Compendium of Physical Activities.
- MET values are averages. Fitness, terrain, wind and technique change the real burn.

How do I calculate calories burned?
Multiply the activity's MET value by your weight in kilograms and by the time in hours. The calculator does this for you.
What is a MET?
A MET is how hard an activity is compared with sitting still. Running at 9.7 km/h is about 9.8 METs.
How many calories does running burn?
It depends on your weight and speed. Choose a running pace and your weight, and the tool gives the figure for your time.
Can I save the results?
