What you can do
- Enter your FTP, or a 20-minute all-out average. The tool takes 95 % of the 20-minute figure as your FTP.
- Weigh in with kilograms or pounds. In pounds you also get watts per pound.
- See the full level table for your sex, from untrained to world class.
- Check how many watts the next level asks for at your current weight.
Good to know
- Power has to be between 20 and 2,500 W.
- The levels are a rough guide for road cycling, not a ranking. They are rounded and the male and female tables differ.
- Rider weight matters on climbs, but flat riding depends more on power against air drag.
Questions
What is a good W/kg?
By these levels, men reach "Good" at 3.4 W/kg and women at 3.0 W/kg. The table on the tool shows every step.
What is FTP?
Functional threshold power: the power you can hold for about an hour. A common test is 95 % of a 20-minute all-out effort.
Should I count bike weight?
The calculator uses the weight you enter. Rider weight alone is the usual way to quote W/kg.
Is my data stored?
