ToolRecipe

For companies

The company-approved toolbox for everyday file work.

One place for the small jobs your main software doesn't handle. Convert, clean, redact, compress, transcribe and package sensitive files on the employee's device, and turn recurring jobs into company recipes.

The company features below are planned and not available yet. Write to info@toolrecipe.com and tell us what your office does with files.

Fast for employees

One familiar place for converting, merging, signing and shrinking files. Nothing to install, nothing to learn twice.

Processed on the device

Supported tools run in the browser on the employee's own computer. Files are not uploaded for processing, which reduces uncontrolled sharing with outside processing services.

Company recipes

A job that takes four tools becomes one recipe, so every colleague does it the same way.

Client intake scan to PDF → merge → black out ID numbers → compress → name by date

One toolbox instead of ten

Replace the mix of free websites, desktop utilities and workarounds with one approved toolbox.

What you get

Available today

  • About 300 tools for PDFs, images, video, audio, text and data.
  • 57 ready-made recipes for common multi-step jobs, such as a tender pack or phone photos to client-ready files.
  • Works offline once it has loaded.
  • No installation: it opens in a current browser. A few tools work best in Chrome or Edge on a computer.
  • Three languages: English, German and Dutch.

Planned for companies, not built yet

  • Company workspace at yourcompany.toolrecipe.com, with your logo.
  • Sign-in with Microsoft 365 or Google. When someone leaves, their access ends with their company account.
  • Seats. Add and remove people as the team changes, with one invoice per year.
  • Batch processing. Run a tool or a recipe on a whole folder of files at once.
  • Approved tools. Switch tools on or off for the whole company.
  • Company recipes you publish, update and version centrally.
  • Defaults and templates, such as a file-naming pattern, a watermark text or a size limit.
  • Roles and teams, so each team sees the tools and recipes it needs.
  • Usage overview (optional): which tools and recipes are used, never the contents of files.

How it will work

  1. We talk through your files. Which files come in, what has to happen to them, and which steps you want everyone to follow.
  2. We will set up your workspace. Your approved tools, your recipes and your defaults, at your address.
  3. Your team will open it in the browser. They will sign in with their work account. No installation.

Made for teams that handle sensitive files every day

Questions

Are files uploaded?

Supported tools process files on the employee's device, and files are not uploaded for processing. A browser security policy limits the page to one address: our own server. On the free site it passes page views and a fixed list of actions on to an analytics service in the EU, which counts them for us without a cookie or a lasting ID. Neither receives files or file names. Any other connection is blocked and counted by the badge at the top of the free site.

If you send us your email address to ask about ToolRecipe for companies, we store it with that request at our analytics service in the EU and receive it by mail, to answer you. Write to info@toolrecipe.com to have it deleted.

Is this a compliance guarantee?

No. Processing on the device removes one specific risk: sending files to outside processing services. It does not replace your own security policies.

Do we need to install anything?

No. Your team opens a web address. Once it has loaded, it also works offline.

What does it cost?

A price per seat per year. Tell us how many people would use it and we'll send you a quote.

Can it run on our own server?

Ask us. Because the tools do their work in the browser, hosting the toolbox yourself is possible.
