ETF savings plan calculator

Project an ETF savings plan (Sparplan) with a monthly rate that rises each year. Free and online: set the assumed return and the years, and see the end value, your deposits and the growth. Nothing leaves your browser.

How to project an ETF savings plan

  1. 1Enter your monthly rate and any starting amount
  2. 2Set the assumed yearly return and the years
  3. 3Read the end value, the chart and the table
  4. An end value, a chart and a table per year.

What you get

  • Nothing is uploaded. The projection runs in your browser. Your numbers are never sent anywhere.
  • Starts with 200 a month. The example plan raises the rate 2% a year over 25 years. Change it.
  • Fees and taxes left out.The result is gross, at a constant return you choose.

What you can do

  • Plan a Sparplan from zero: the starting amount is 0 by default.
  • Raise the monthly rate every year by a percentage, for example with your salary.
  • Choose a start or end of month deposit.
  • See the end value in today's money by entering an inflation rate.
  • Compare the balance with your total deposits in a chart and download the yearly table as CSV.

Good to know

  • It is a projection at a constant assumed return. Real ETF returns vary, can be negative, and cost fees and taxes that are not included.
  • The tool does not know any ETF, index or price. It only does the compound arithmetic.
  • The term can be 1 to 80 years.
  • It is an estimate from your own numbers, not financial, tax or investment advice.

Questions

What return should I enter?

That is your assumption, not a promise. Many people try a few values, such as 4, 6 and 8 percent, to see the range.

Does it include ETF costs or capital gains tax?

No. Fees and taxes are not included, so a real result will be lower.

What does the yearly increase do?

It raises your monthly rate by that percentage each year, which models a plan that grows with your income. Set it to 0 for a flat rate.

Is my data sent to a server?

No. The calculation happens in your browser.
