What you can do

  • Convert several files in one go, not just one at a time.
  • Choose the quality when the result is JPG, WebP or AVIF. PNG is lossless, so it has no quality setting.
  • Open pictures from iPhones and Android phones, web graphics and old scans, as long as the format is one the tool reads.
  • Make a PDF from your pictures: page size, orientation, margin and the number of pictures per page can be set.

Good to know

  • AVIF is a modern image format that often makes files much smaller than JPG at similar quality. Older software and some apps cannot open it yet.
  • JPG (JPEG) is the most common photo format. It compresses with some loss and has no transparency, and every re-save costs a little quality.
  • Converting to JPG turns transparent areas white, because JPG has no transparency. Choose PNG, WebP or AVIF to keep it.
  • Several images converted to an image format come back as one ZIP file. Converting to PDF puts all pictures into one PDF.
  • Converting between lossy formats such as JPG and WebP loses a little quality each time. Keep your originals.

Questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. The files are read and converted by your browser on your own device. They are never sent to us or anyone else.

Is converting AVIF to JPG free?

Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no fee. You can convert as many files as your device can handle.

Will the quality get worse?

A lossless target such as PNG keeps every pixel. For JPG, WebP and AVIF the quality slider decides how much detail is given up for a smaller file.

Can I convert many files at once?

Yes. Drop them all in together. Pictures converted to an image format are saved as one ZIP, and a PDF holds all of them as pages.
