Use one tool

Make a PDF whose text cannot be copied

For a draft, a script or a sample chapter: turn every page into a picture and put the pictures back into a PDF. It reads the same, but there is no text to select.

The steps

  1. Turn the pages into JPG. Pick 150 or 300 dpi and save the images.
  2. Put them back into a PDF. One picture per page, in order. Save the PDF.
  3. Make it small. Bring it under the size limit and save.
