Jobs that take a few tools in a row. Pick one and you are led from step to step, with your files handed on.
- Sign and return a contract: Fill in the blanks, sign, and make the file small enough to email back.
- Phone photos to client-ready files: Turn iPhone photos into JPGs, bring them under a size limit, name them the way the client wants, and hand them over as one PDF.
- Put together a tender or application pack: Merge the attachments, black out what should stay private, fill in and sign, and get the pack under the portal's size limit.
- Fix a workout and check the numbers: Join a ride your watch split in two, cut out the pause, and see the distance, pace and heart rate of the whole thing.
- Make a video small enough to send: Cut the video to the part that matters and shrink it for a chat app or email.
- Product photos for a web shop: Cut the product out of its background, bring every photo to the same size, and make the files light enough for a shop page.
- Clean up a pasted list: Take a list copied from an email or a spreadsheet, drop the empty lines and the doubles, and put it in order.
- Get a route onto your watch or bike computer: Turn a route from a map site into a GPX file, thin it out so the device accepts it, and look at it before you go.
- Get a 3D model ready to print: Repair holes in the mesh so a slicer accepts it, and see how much material and money the print will take.
- Fit relationship photos into one PDF under the limit: For a visa or sponsorship application: turn the photos into JPGs, shrink each one first so the PDF stays sharp, put several on a page, and bring the PDF under the portal's limit.
- Get all passport pages into one small PDF: Put two scanned pages on each sheet, which halves the page count, then bring the PDF under the upload limit.
- Photo and signature for an exam or government form: Bring a photo or a scanned signature to the exact size in cm the form asks for, then between its lowest and highest file size.
- Upload a PDF that is too big, in parts: Compress it first. If it is still over the limit, split it into files that each fit, and number them so the order is clear.
- CV and cover letter in one PDF: Job and college sites often take one file. Put the CV, the letter and any certificates in one PDF that is small enough to upload.
- Turn screenshots into labelled exhibits: Put screenshots and documents in one PDF, stamp a label on every page, then split it into one file per exhibit, named in order.
- Pages you photographed, as one small PDF: Printed, signed and photographed? Turn the photos into one PDF, put the pages the right way up, and bring it under the upload limit.
- A chat history as evidence, private bits blacked out: Turn an exported chat into a PDF, black out what nobody else should read, and bring it under the upload limit.
- Number a report's pages and lock it: Add page numbers so everyone talks about the same page, then put a password on the PDF before it goes out.
- Watermark a document before sharing it: Put DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL or your name across every page, so a copy is clearly yours, and make it small enough to email.
- Clean a PDF before sharing it: Black out names and numbers, take out the pages that aren't for them, and add a password.
- Printables for Etsy under the 20 MB limit: Bring your artwork to a print size, turn it into a PDF your buyers can print, and keep the file under Etsy's 20 MB.
- PDF pages as images under a size limit: For forms and apps that want a picture, not a PDF: turn the pages into JPGs and bring each one under the limit.
- A logo with a transparent background: Take the white or plain background out of a logo, trim the empty edges, and make the PNG light for a website or a document.
- Your signature as a see-through image: Photograph your signature on white paper, take the paper out, and trim it, so it can go on any document.
- A small or old photo, bigger and sharper: Let the AI make a small or blurry photo four times bigger, then bring the file under the size a form or site allows.
- Photos for a website, fast to load: Turn photos into WebP, bring them to the width the site shows, and squeeze the files so the pages load quickly.
- Holiday photos into a photo book: Turn iPhone photos into JPGs and lay them out page by page as a photo book you can print or share as a PDF.
- Podcast audio from a video recording: Cut a recording down to the part you want, then keep only the sound as an audio file for your podcast.
- A game clip small enough for Discord: Cut the clip to the moment that counts and bring it under Discord's upload limit.
- Clean up text copied from a PDF: Text copied out of a PDF breaks in the middle of sentences. Join the lines, tidy the spaces, and fix what keeps coming back.
- A mailing list from pasted text: Pull every email address out of a document or a pasted thread, keep each one once, and put them in order.
- A JSON export as a spreadsheet: Make a JSON file from an app or an API readable, then turn it into a CSV that opens in Excel or Sheets.
- A 3D scan, ready to print: Turn a scan from a phone app into an STL, repair the holes scans always have, and see what the print will take.
- A 3D model light enough for the web: Take out the triangles nobody will see, then compress the GLB so the model loads quickly on a website or in AR.
- Turn a bank export into a clean Excel file: Bank and shop exports come as CSV with semicolons, empty lines and double rows. Clean the lines, then get an Excel file with real numbers.
- Turn Word files into one small PDF: An application or a hand-in made of several Word files: make each a PDF, put them in order in one file, and shrink it for the upload.
- Get a PDF into Word so you can edit it: Pick the pages you need from a PDF and get their text as a Word file, with headings and paragraphs, ready to change.
- Turn Markdown notes or an AI answer into Word: Notes with # headings and - lists, or an answer copied from an AI chat, become a proper Word file and a PDF to send.
- Send a spreadsheet as a PDF nobody can change: A price list, an offer or a schedule: put the sheet on pages, add your name and page numbers, and lock it.
- Take the text of a PDF into Word without the broken lines: Text from a PDF breaks at the end of every line. Get the text out, join the lines back into paragraphs, and save it as Word.
- Turn an interview recording into a transcript: Research interviews, client calls, meetings you may not upload anywhere: the recording becomes text on your own device, as Word and as PDF.
- Cut a video down to the part you need and get it as text: A talk, a lecture or a hearing where only ten minutes matter: keep that part and get what was said as text.
- Pull the sound out of a video and get a transcript: From a recorded call or webinar: keep the sound as a small audio file, and get what was said as text.
- Turn a recorded lecture or meeting into notes: Record the lecture or the meeting, get it as text, and take that into your notes app as Markdown.
- Fix a sideways phone video and make it small enough to send: The phone was held the wrong way: turn the video upright and shrink it for the chat app.
- Turn pasted text into one line of addresses for the BCC field: A sign-up sheet, a spreadsheet column or a long mail thread: get the addresses out, each once, in one line with commas.
- Turn a column of IDs into a quoted list for a query: A column copied from a spreadsheet becomes 'a', 'b', 'c' for the IN ( ) of a database query, without doubles or stray spaces.
- Clean up text copied from an AI chat: Text from an AI chat carries invisible characters, curly quotes and emojis that break forms, code and old systems. Take them out.
- Get an activity into a spreadsheet: Every point of a ride or a run, with time, position, height and heart rate, as rows you can chart and compare in Excel.
- Move workouts from one app to another: The old app exports TCX, the new one wants GPX: convert them all at once and give the files names you can sort.
- Show a recorded track in Google Earth: A track from a watch has thousands of points. Thin it out so it loads quickly, then turn it into the KML that Google Earth opens.
- Join the days of a tour into one map file: One file per day of a hike or a bike tour: join them into one track, thin it out, and get a file to show the whole trip on a map.
- Get the points of a map file into Excel: Places saved in a map app or a GIS file, as a table with names and coordinates you can sort and share.
- Split a model into its parts and make each one printable: A file with several loose parts in it: get each as its own STL, repair them, and see what each print will take.
- Repair and hollow a model for resin printing: A solid model wastes resin. Repair it, hollow it with the wall you choose, and see how much resin is left to pay for.
- Get a model ready for AR on an iPhone: A model for a web shop or a showcase: fewer triangles, smaller pictures on it, and the USDZ file an iPhone opens in the room.
- Put a two-sided scan back in order: A scanner that does one side at a time gives you one PDF with the fronts and one with the backs. Shuffle them together, turn what is upside down, and shrink the result.
- Make a PDF whose text cannot be copied: For a draft, a script or a sample chapter: turn every page into a picture and put the pictures back into a PDF. It reads the same, but there is no text to select.
