A logo into a vector file (SVG)

Take a logo you only have as a picture, clear its background, trim it, and trace it into an SVG: a vector file that stays sharp on a sign, a shirt or a screen of any size.

The steps

  1. Clear the background. The plain background becomes see-through. Save the PNG.
  2. Trim the empty edges. The see-through border is cut off, so the logo lines up. Save it.
  3. Trace it into an SVG. The logo's colours are found by themselves and the see-through parts stay see-through. Compare it with the picture, then save the SVG.
