A scanner that does one side at a time gives you one PDF with the fronts and one with the backs. Shuffle them together, turn what is upside down, and shrink the result.

The steps

  1. Shuffle fronts and backs together. Page 1 from the first, page 1 from the second, and so on. Save.
  2. Turn pages that are upside down. Pick them, turn them, and save.
  3. Make it small. Bring it under the size limit and save.
