- One PDF with fronts and backs in reading order.
What happens to your files
- Nothing is uploaded.Your PDF is read and rebuilt by your browser, on your own device.
- Pages stay as they are.Text stays text, and nothing is recompressed.
- Works offline.Once the tool has been opened, it needs no connection.
What you can do
- Weave two files into one: page 1 of the first, then the last page of the second, then page 2 of the first, and so on.
- Cover the usual case of a stack scanned twice. The second file is read from its last page to its first, as the backs come out when you flip the stack.
- Check the result as thumbnails and fix single pages: move, rotate or remove them.
- Remove a blank back or a bad scan with ✕, or add a missing page, before you save.
Good to know
- The Interleave 2 scans button appears once two PDFs are loaded. With more than two, it uses the first two.
- The backs must be in reverse order, which is what you get by flipping the stack and scanning it again. If yours are in the same order, use Reverse order or drag the pages.
- Pages of the two files must match in number for a clean result. A missing page shifts all the pages after it.
- A password-protected PDF is skipped. Unlock it first, then add it again.
Questions
How do I merge odd and even pages from my scanner?
Add the PDF with the odd pages first, then the PDF with the even pages. Click Interleave 2 scans and save.
Is my scan uploaded to a server?
No. The files are read and combined by your browser on your own device. They are never sent to us or anyone else.
What if my backs are in the wrong order?
Interleave expects the backs from last to first. If yours run first to last, rearrange them or use Reverse order on the result and check the thumbnails.
Does it lower the scan quality?
No. Pages are copied unchanged. Nothing is recompressed.
