PowerPoint to PDF
Turn a PowerPoint presentation into a PDF in your browser, without PowerPoint. Every slide becomes one page at the slide's own size, in the same order, with its text, pictures, shapes, tables and background. Works with .pptx and with old .ppt files. Nothing is uploaded.
How to convert PPTX to PDF
- 1Drop a .pptx or .ppt file onto the page, or click to choose it
- 2Tick "Include hidden slides" if you want those too
- 3Click "Make PDF" and keep the file
- A PDF with one page per slide, ready to send or print
What happens to your files
- No PowerPoint needed.Convert a deck on a phone, a Chromebook or a computer without Office
- One page per slide. Each page has the size of its slide, so a 16:9 deck stays 16:9 and nothing is cut off
- Nothing is uploaded.Your presentation is read and turned into a PDF by your browser, on your own device
What you can do
- Convert PowerPoint files from 97 to today: .pptx, .ppsx and .potx, and the older .ppt and .pps
- Keep text with its fonts, sizes, colours, bullets and numbering, so the words stay searchable in the PDF
- Keep pictures, shapes, arrows, tables, SmartArt drawings and the slide backgrounds from the master and layouts
- Leave hidden slides out, or put them in with one tick
- Convert several presentations at once and get them as one ZIP file
Good to know
- Animations, transitions, speaker notes and sound do not come across. A video shows as its still picture
- Charts are left as an empty space for now. The page tells you which slides have one
- Pictures in WMF or EMF format and files from PowerPoint 95 or older can't be drawn yet. You get a note when that happens
- Fonts that are not on your device are replaced by free fonts of the same width, so lines break as they do in PowerPoint
- Files protected with a password can't be opened. Save a copy without the password first
Questions
How do I convert a PowerPoint to PDF without PowerPoint?
Drop the .pptx or .ppt file on this page and click "Make PDF". Your browser does the work, so you need no Office and no app.
Is my presentation uploaded?
No. The file is read and the PDF is made by your browser on your own device. It is never sent to us or anyone else.
Will the PDF look exactly like my slides?
Close. Text, pictures, shapes, tables and backgrounds come across in place. Charts, animations and video don't, and a missing font is replaced by a look-alike of the same width.
Does it work with old .ppt files?
Yes. Files from PowerPoint 97 to 2003 work the same way. Only files from PowerPoint 95 and older can't be read.
