Frequently asked questions

Does it connect to our accounting software?

No, and it does not need to. ToolRecipe works on the files themselves: what a client sends before it goes into your software, and what you export afterwards.

Are client files uploaded?

Supported tools process files on the employee's own computer, and files are not uploaded for processing. This removes one risk; it does not replace your own security rules.

Can every colleague use the same steps?

The recipes above already give everyone the same steps today. For your office we set up your own recipes, with your order of steps and your settings.

Which client files does it handle?

PDFs, scans and photos of pages, CSV and Excel exports, and images. The jobs above are the most common ones; the free tools cover many more.

Does this replace our own security policy?

No. Processing on your own computer removes one risk: files going to outside services to be processed. Your own security rules still apply.

Where is ToolRecipe hosted?

In the EU. The site runs on servers in Austria, and ToolRecipe is run from Vienna. The tools work on your own device, so your files don’t go to us or to anyone else. The privacy policy lists what we store, where, and which services we use for it.

Do we need to install anything?

No. Your team opens a web address. Once the page has loaded, it also works offline.

What does it cost?

For companies we agree a price that fits the size of your team and what we set up for you.

Can it run on our own server?

Ask us. Because the tools do their work in the browser, running it on your own server is possible.

How do we start?
