kPa to bar
Convert kPa to bar online, free and without signing up. Type a value and the result appears as you type, next to the value in every other pressure unit. For example, 10 kPa = 0.1 bar. Nothing is uploaded: the calculation runs in your browser.
How to convert kPa to bar
- 1Type your value in the “Value” field
- 2Check the units in “From” and “To”
- 3Read the result, or press “Swap”
- The result, and the value in every unit.
What happens to your numbers
- Nothing is uploaded. The calculation runs in your browser, on your own device.
- Every unit at once.A table shows your value in all the other pressure units.
- Works offline.Once the tool has been opened, it needs no connection.
What you can do
- Type any value, including decimals and negative numbers, and see the result as you type.
- See your value in every pressure unit in the table below the result.
- Press “Swap” to turn the conversion around, or pick other units in “From” and “To”.
Good to know
- A kilopascal (kPa) is 1,000 pascals, the SI unit of pressure, and 0.01 bar. North American tyre and weather figures are often in kPa.
- One bar is 100,000 pascals, close to normal air pressure at sea level (about 1.013 bar). Tyre and weather pressures are often given in bar.
- Only the number is converted. The tool does not tell gauge pressure (above the air) from absolute pressure. For tyres, use the unit your gauge shows.
- Results are shown with up to 10 significant digits. Very large or very small numbers appear in exponent form, for example 1.5e+16.
Questions
Are my values sent to a server?
No. The calculation runs in your browser, on your own device. Nothing you type is sent to us or anyone else.
How do I convert kPa to bar?
Type your value in the “Value” field. The result appears at once, for example 10 kPa = 0.1 bar. “Swap” turns the conversion around.
How many psi is 1 bar?
One bar is about 14.5 psi, and 1 psi is about 0.0689 bar. One bar is also exactly 100 kPa.
