Good to know
- Here a pixel (px) is the CSS pixel: 1/96 of an inch, 0.2646 mm. Real screens have different physical pixel sizes, so this is a reference value.
- A millimetre (mm) is 1/1,000 of a metre. In print, paper sizes and margins are given in mm. 1 mm is about 3.78 CSS pixels or 2.83 points.
- Pixels are counted at 96 per inch and points at 72 per inch, as in CSS. That makes 1 pt equal to 1.3333 px. Units like em, rem and pica are not included.
- Results are shown with up to 10 significant digits. Very large or very small numbers appear in exponent form, for example 1.5e+16.
