Good to know

- Values are rounded to whole numbers, so converting back and forth can differ by one step.
- Transparency is not part of the result, only the color itself.
- CMYK is a simple calculation from RGB. It is not a print profile, so printed colors can look different.
Questions
How do I get the hex code of a color?
Pick the color, or type it in as rgb(), hsl() or a name. The HEX value is on the first row, with a copy button.
Which color formats can I type in?
A hex code such as #FFC61A, rgb(), hsl(), or a CSS color name such as tomato. Anything your browser reads as a color works.
Can I convert RGB to HEX?
Yes. Type the rgb() value and copy the HEX line. There are also separate converters for each pair.
Is the CMYK value exact for printing?
No. It is a plain conversion from RGB. For print work, check the color with your printer's profile.
