Good to know

  • Comma-separated values: one row per line, the first line holds the column names. Cells with commas, quotes or line breaks are put in quotes.
  • JSON Lines: one complete JSON value per line, with no brackets around the whole. Common for logs and big exports. Blank lines are skipped, and an error names its line.
  • A table (CSV, TSV, JSON Lines) cannot become one .env file or one query string. Those hold a single object of names and values.
  • A CSV is read with its first line as the column names. A semicolon as separator is recognized.
  • Between text formats, big numbers such as 12345678901234567890 keep every digit.
  • If the input is not valid, you see the error and its position instead of a result.
