Dice roller
Dice roller: pick a d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 or d100, or a die with any number of sides, and roll as many as you need. Add a number, roll with advantage or drop the lowest die, or type notation like 2d6+3. Every die is shown, and a history keeps the sum and the average of your rolls.
How to roll dice
- 1Pick the die and how many of them
- 2Add a number or pick advantage, disadvantage or drop lowest
- 3Press Roll, or type notation like 2d6+3 and press Enter
- Every die that fell, the total and a history of your rolls
What you get
- Fair dice. Each roll comes from your browser's crypto random source, and every face is equally likely
- The notation you know.2d6+3, 4d6dl1, 2d20kh1 or d20 adv, with several groups like 3d8 + 2d6 − 1
- A history with totals.Your last 50 rolls with their dice, the running sum and the average
What you can do
- Roll up to 100 dice of one kind, with 2 to 1000 sides each
- Roll with advantage or disadvantage: each die twice, the higher or lower counts
- Drop the lowest die, as in 4d6 for a character's stats
- Add or subtract a number, or subtract whole dice like d6 − d4
- See the lowest and highest total the roll can give
Good to know
- Dropped dice stay on screen, crossed out, so you can check the count
- The history and your last settings stay in this browser. Clear the history with one button
- The dice are random each time. Past rolls do not change the chance of the next one
Questions
What does 2d6+3 mean?
Roll two six-sided dice, add them up and add 3. The number before the d is how many dice, the number after it how many sides each has.
How does advantage work?
You roll the d20 twice and keep the higher result. With disadvantage you keep the lower one. Type d20 adv or d20 dis, or pick it under How to count.
Are the dice really fair?
Yes. Each die uses the browser's cryptographic random numbers, and draws that would favour some faces are thrown back. Our tests count hundreds of thousands of rolls against the exact chances.
Can I roll a die that does not exist, like a d7?
Yes. Pick Other and type any number of sides from 2 to 1000, or write it as notation, for example 3d7.
