Resize JPG
Resize JPG images online and free: type a width or a height in pixels, centimeters, millimeters or inches, and save. For forms that ask for a size like 3.5 × 4.5 cm, the DPI is written into the JPG too. Nothing is uploaded: your browser does the work.
How to resize JPG images
- 1Drop your images in, or click to choose them
- 2Type a width, a height, or both, and pick the unit
- 3Press "Convert" and save the result
- Resized images, as JPG unless you pick another format.
What happens to your files
- Nothing is uploaded.Your images are read and resized by your browser, on your own device.
- Ratio kept with one side.Fill in only the width or the height and the other follows.
- Many at once.Add a batch, set one size, and get one ZIP.
What you can do
- Fill in only the width or only the height, and the other side follows so the picture does not stretch. Fill in both and you get exactly that size.
- Choose the unit: Pixels, cm, mm or Inches. For cm, mm and inches you also set the DPI, which starts at 200.
- Under "Format" keep JPG or save as PNG, JPG, WebP or AVIF in the same step.
- Set the quality, 30 to 100, starting at 85. A lower quality gives a smaller file.
- Set a passport photo or print size: type centimeters or inches and the DPI, for example 300 for a print, and the JPG states that DPI.
Good to know
- Percent is not offered: the size is a number of pixels, or a length with a DPI.
- If you fill in both sides, the picture is scaled to exactly that size and can look stretched when the ratio differs.
- Several files come back as one ZIP. JPG turns transparency white.
- Resizing a JPG re-encodes it, so each pass costs a little quality. Resize from your original once.
Questions
How do I resize a JPG to a certain width?
Drop it in, type the width in the width field, leave the height empty and press "Convert". The height follows from the picture's ratio.
Can I set a size in centimeters?
Yes. Choose cm, mm or Inches as the unit and set the DPI. The JPG then states that DPI, which some forms and print shops read.
Can I resize many images at once?
Yes. Add them all, set one size, and you get one ZIP.
