Touchscreen test
Touchscreen test online: draw with your fingers or fill a grid to find spots where the screen doesn't react. See how many fingers it tracks at once, in the page or in full screen. Free, and nothing leaves your browser.
How to test your touchscreen
- 1Choose "Draw with your fingers" or "Fill the grid"
- 2Tap "Full screen" to test the whole screen
- 3Draw over every part, or until the grid is full
- 4Press Esc or the × to leave full screen
- Lines or a filled grid that show where the screen reacts
Why test here
- Runs in your browser.Every touch is read by the page on your own device
- Nothing is sent.No touch goes to a server, and no result is stored
- Starts right away.Open the page and put your fingers on the screen
What you can do
- Draw lines with several fingers at once, each finger in its own colour
- Fill a grid and see what share of it you have covered
- See how many fingers are on the screen now and the most at once
- Read how many touches at once your browser says the screen takes
- Test the whole screen in full screen, and start fresh with "Clear"
Good to know
- A line that breaks off while your finger keeps moving, or a grid cell that never fills, marks a spot where the screen doesn't react
- The number of touches comes from the browser. It is what the device reports, not a measurement
- Full screen closes with Esc, the × or your browser's own way out, and by itself after 10 minutes without input
- Without a touchscreen you can still draw with the mouse to try the test
Questions
How do I check if my touchscreen works everywhere?
Choose "Fill the grid", go to full screen and swipe over the whole screen. Cells that stay empty while your finger passes over them show dead spots.
How many fingers does my screen detect?
The tool shows what your browser reports for the screen, and counts the most fingers it saw at once while you test. Put more fingers down to see where it stops.
How do I leave full screen?
Press Esc, tap the × in the corner or use your browser's own way out. After 10 minutes without input it closes by itself.
Can I test a touchscreen on a laptop?
Yes. If the laptop's screen is a touchscreen, it works like on a phone. Without one, you can draw with the mouse.
