Create PDF from files
Create one PDF from PDFs, images and text files. Every file becomes pages on a board: drag them into any order, rotate or remove them, and place images exactly where you want them on the page. Free, online, and nothing is uploaded.
How to create a PDF from files
- 1Drop in PDFs, images and text files, or click to choose them
- 2Drag the pages into order and use "Place" to position images
- 3Type a file name and click "Create PDF"
- One PDF with every page in your order.
What happens to your files
- Nothing is uploaded. The files are read and the PDF is written by your browser, on your own device.
- Three kinds of files.PDFs, images and plain text files go into the same document.
- You place the images.Move and resize an image on its page, or put several on one page.
What you can do
- Mix PDFs, images (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, SVG, AVIF, BMP and more) and text files (TXT, MD, CSV, JSON, XML and similar) in one document.
- A PDF is split into its pages, so an image can go between page 3 and page 4. Drag a page, or use the arrows on its card.
- Open "Place" on an image page to drag it, resize it by the corner, use "Fit all", "Fill page" or "Center", and add more images to the same page.
- Choose "Page size" (A4, A5, A3, US Letter, US Legal or the same as each image), "Orientation", "Margin" and how many images go on a page.
- "Add blank page", "Reverse order" and "Interleave 2 scans" cover the small jobs, such as joining the front and back scans of a document.
Good to know
- Text files are set in Helvetica at 11 pt with a margin of at least 15 mm. Characters that font does not have, such as Chinese or emoji, come out as a question mark.
- A password-protected PDF is skipped and named in a message. Unlock it first, then add it again.
- PDF pages keep their size and quality. Images are embedded unchanged when they are JPG and "Image quality" is "Original".
- Formats the browser cannot read, such as HEIC or Word files, are skipped and listed.
Questions
Are my files uploaded when I create the PDF?
No. Your browser reads the files and writes the PDF on your device. They are never sent to a server.
Can I put a text file in a PDF?
Yes. TXT, MD, CSV, JSON and similar files become pages of plain text. Long lines are wrapped and long files run over several pages.
Can I place an image anywhere on a page?
Yes. Click "Place" on the page, then drag the image and pull its corner to resize it. Arrow keys move it in small steps.
Can I change the order of pages from different PDFs?
Yes. Every page is its own card. Drag it to a new spot, also between pages of another file.
