How to add a date to a PDF

  • Change the text after placing it, for example to a different day, and make it bigger or smaller.
  • Add the date on several pages by moving to the next page and placing it again.
  • Combine it with a signature, ticks or typed text in the same save.

Good to know

  • The date is today's date from your device and is written as ordinary text. It is not a time stamp or a digital signature.
  • The built-in font covers Western European letters. Other characters become a question mark and you get a note.
  • A password-protected PDF has to be unlocked first.

Can I put in a date other than today?

Does the date format follow my country?

The preselected format follows your browser's language. You can switch it with "Dates as" before you place the date.
