What happens to your files

What you can do
- Point at a line and see it outlined, click it and edit it right on the page.

- See which font and size the line uses, shown above the page while you edit.
- Delete a line by emptying the box.
- Undo a change, and edit as many lines on as many pages as you like.
Good to know
- Only text that is really in the PDF can be edited. A scanned page is a picture, and its text cannot be changed here.
- Fonts in PDFs often hold only the letters that were used. If a new letter is missing, a similar font writes it and a note names the letters.
- A longer text can run past the space it had, since the page does not reflow. You get a note when that happens.
- You edit one line at a time. A paragraph is several lines.
- A password-protected PDF has to be opened without the password first.

Why can't I click some text?
It is probably part of a picture, such as a scan or a logo. Only real text lines can be edited.
Will the font stay the same?
Yes, as long as the font has the letters you type. If not, a similar font fills in and you are told which letters.
