What you can do
- Highlight, underline or strike through text by dragging over it. On a scanned page, drag an area instead.
- Draw freehand, or add rectangles, ellipses, lines and arrows in thin, medium or thick strokes.
- Click the page to add a comment, and double-click it later to change the text.
- Use the Select tool to pick any annotation, also ones that were already in the file, then drag it or press Delete.
- Choose between several highlight and ink colours, and undo a step if it went wrong.
Good to know
- Annotations sit on top of the page and do not change the text underneath. To remove content for good, use "Redact PDF".
- To make marks permanent so nobody can edit them, flatten the PDF afterwards.
- Highlighting text needs real text in the PDF. On scans, an area highlight is the way.
- A password-protected PDF has to be opened without the password first.
