Good to know
- The tool uses Naegele's rule: 280 days from the last period, adjusted if your cycle is not 28 days long.
- Only about a few in a hundred babies are born on the due date. A dating scan is more precise.
- The first trimester ends in week 13 and the second in week 27.
- It is an estimate, not medical advice.
Questions
How is the due date calculated?
The tool adds 280 days to the first day of your last period. For a longer or shorter cycle it moves the date by the difference to 28 days.
Can I calculate it from conception or IVF?
Yes. Choose "Date of conception" or an IVF transfer with a day 3 or day 5 embryo, and enter that date.
How many weeks pregnant am I?
If today falls within the pregnancy, the result line shows your weeks and days and your trimester.
Is my date uploaded?
No. The dates are worked out in your browser and not sent anywhere.
