URL QR code generator
Turn a web link into a QR code, free and online, for a flyer, a menu, a business card or a slide. Paste the URL, adjust the colors, and download the code as PNG or SVG. It is made on your device, so nothing is uploaded.
How to make a QR code from a URL
- 1Paste your link into the box, starting with https://
- 2Pick the colors, the size and the error correction
- 3Download the PNG or SVG
- A QR code that opens your link.
What you get
- Made on your device. The link is turned into a code in your browser, not sent anywhere.
- Opens your link.Scanning it takes people straight to the URL you pasted.
- PNG or SVG.PNG for screens, SVG for print that stays sharp.
What you can do
- Paste any link. The preview updates at once, and the box starts with "https://" as a hint.
- Choose the PNG size: 512, 1024 or 2048 px. The SVG has no fixed size.
- Change the code color and the background for your design.
- Raise the error correction to Highest if the code will get a logo, a fold or wear.
- Use the same tool for plain text or a Wi-Fi network by changing "What it opens".
Good to know
- The code holds the URL itself. It does not expire, but you can't change the link later: a new link needs a new code.
- Test the printed code with a phone before you print many copies.
- Short links make a simpler code that scans from further away.
- Write the full link with https://. A bare domain may be shown as text by some scanner apps.
Questions
How do I make a QR code for a website link?
Paste the URL into the box. The code appears at once. Then download it as PNG or SVG.
Does the QR code expire?
No. It contains the URL itself and works as long as that page does.
Is the link uploaded or tracked?
No. The code is made in your browser. We don't see your link and the code has no tracking.
Can I print the QR code on a poster?
Yes. Download the SVG, it stays sharp at any size. Keep a dark code on a light background.
