Password generator

Generate strong random passwords, free and online, with no sign-up. Pick how many and how long, and get a list you can copy. The passwords are made in your browser with its secure random source, so they are never sent anywhere.

How to generate a password

  1. 1Set how many passwords you want
  2. 2Set the length: 20 characters is the default
  3. 3Click Generate passwords, then Copy
  4. A list of random passwords, one per line.

What you get

  • Made on your device.Generated in your browser. No password is sent or stored.
  • Truly random.Characters come from the browser's cryptographic random source.
  • Long and mixed.Letters, digits and symbols, from 4 to 256 characters.

What you can do

  • Make from 1 to 500 passwords at once, one per line.
  • Set the length from 4 to 256 characters. The default is 20.
  • Every password mixes upper and lower case letters, digits and the symbols !#$%&*+-=?@^_~.
  • Click Generate passwords again for a fresh list. Copy takes the whole list.
  • The tool needs no account and no connection once it has been opened.

Good to know

  • There are no switches for character types. If a site rejects symbols, use the random string generator, which has letters and digits only.
  • A password is not guaranteed to hold every character type. At 20 characters this is very rare, but a strict site may reject one: generate again.
  • Store passwords in a password manager. Don't keep them in a text file or reuse them.
  • Longer is stronger. For important accounts, 20 characters or more is a good habit.
