USDZ for AR Quick Look

Turn a GLB, OBJ, STL or other 3D model into a USDZ file at its real size, for AR Quick Look on iPhone and iPad. Set the real height or width, stand the model on the floor and save, or also get a GLB for Android. Free, in your browser.

How to make a USDZ for AR Quick Look

  2. 2Set its real size and tick to stand it on the floor
  3. 3Press "Make the USDZ" and save the file
  4. A USDZ at real size that opens in AR on iPhone.

What happens to your files

  • Nothing is uploaded. The model is read and converted by your browser, on your own device.
  • Real size in AR.You see the size the model will have, as width × height × depth.
  • Android too.Save a GLB next to the USDZ for Android devices.

What you can do

  • Convert GLB, glTF, OBJ, STL, PLY, FBX and other models to a USDZ file for AR Quick Look.
  • Keep the size from the file, or set the height, width, depth or longest side to a real length in mm, cm, m, inches or feet.
  • For formats with no units, such as OBJ and STL, say what unit the numbers are in.
  • Stand the model on the floor, with its bottom at zero and centred, so it sits on the surface in AR.
  • Also save a GLB for Android, with the same size and placement.

Good to know

  • AR Quick Look works on iPhone and iPad. Android uses the GLB.
  • If a model's size looks odd, the tool suggests setting the longest side by hand.
  • A model with its own files, such as an OBJ with a material file, needs those dropped together.
