Convert to Title Case

Turn any text into Title Case: the first letter of every word is a capital and the rest is lowercase. Good for headlines, blog titles and names. Paste your text and the result appears as you type. Free, in your browser.

How to convert text to Title Case

  1. 1Paste or type your text into the input box
  2. 2The Title Case result appears below
  3. 3Copy it with the copy button
  4. Your text with each word capitalized.

What you get

  • Clean, even capitals.Every word starts with a capital, the rest is lowercased.
  • Result as you type. There is no convert button: the output updates with every key.
  • Nothing is uploaded.Your text is converted in your browser and never sent anywhere.

What you can do

  • Turns "the QUICK brown fox" into "The Quick Brown Fox".
  • Lowercases the rest of each word first, so text typed in all capitals comes out tidy.
  • Works across several lines and keeps your line breaks.
  • Handles accented and non-Latin letters.

Good to know

  • Every word is capitalized, including small words like "a", "of" and "the". Style guides such as APA or Chicago keep those small, so edit them by hand if you need that.
  • A word starts after a space or line break. After a hyphen or apostrophe the letter stays small: "well-known" becomes "Well-known".
  • Acronyms lose their capitals: "NASA" becomes "Nasa".
