Convert to UPPERCASE

Make any text UPPERCASE: paste it in and every letter becomes a capital. Good for headings, labels, codes and anything that has to shout. Free, runs in your browser, nothing is uploaded.

How to convert text to uppercase

  1. 1Paste or type your text into the input box
  2. 2The UPPERCASE result appears below
  3. 3Click the copy button to use it elsewhere
  4. All your text in capital letters.

What you get

  • Result as you type. There is no convert button: the output updates with every key.
  • Keeps your layout.Line breaks, spaces, digits and punctuation stay where they are.
  • Nothing is uploaded.Your text is converted in your browser and never sent anywhere.

What you can do

  • Turns every small letter into a capital: "hello World" becomes "HELLO WORLD".
  • Works with accented and non-Latin letters, including umlauts and Greek or Cyrillic.
  • Handles long text and many lines in one go.

Good to know

  • The German ß becomes SS when uppercased, as the standard rules say. "Straße" becomes "STRASSE".
  • Text in all capitals is harder to read, so use it for short pieces such as headings.
  • The result is plain text without bold, colors or fonts.

Questions

How do I change text to all capitals?

Paste your text. The tool shows the same text in capitals right away, and you copy it.

Why did ß turn into SS?

The standard uppercase form of ß is SS. Browsers follow that rule.

Does it change numbers or symbols?

No. Only letters change, so digits, punctuation and spaces stay as they are.

Is my text sent to a server?

No. The conversion runs in your browser on your device. Your text is not uploaded or stored.
