Convert to CONSTANT_CASE

Convert text to CONSTANT_CASE: capital letters with underscores, like MAX_RETRY_COUNT. Made for constants and environment variables. Paste your words, copy the result. Free, in your browser, no upload.

How to convert text to CONSTANT_CASE

  1. 1Paste or type your words, one phrase per line
  2. 2Read the CONSTANT_CASE result below
  3. 3Copy it with the copy button
  4. Capital words joined with underscores.

What you get

  • One result per line. Each input line is converted on its own, so a whole list works.
  • Runs as you type. The output updates with every key, no button needed.
  • Nothing is uploaded.Your text is converted in your browser and never sent anywhere.

What you can do

  • Uppercases everything and puts an underscore between words: "max retry count" becomes MAX_RETRY_COUNT.
  • Converts every line separately, so a list of setting names becomes a list of environment variable names.
  • Keeps digits, so "api key 2" gives API_KEY_2.

Good to know

  • Words are found by splitting on anything that is not a letter or digit, so punctuation is dropped. A name that already has capitals, like myVariable, is not split at them.
  • Environment variable names should use only A to Z, digits and underscores. Accented letters are kept here, so remove them if your system objects.
