Convert to iNVERSE cASE

Swap the case of every letter: capitals become small, small letters become capitals, so "Hello World" turns into "hELLO wORLD". Handy for fixing text typed with Caps Lock on. Runs in your browser, nothing is uploaded.

How to invert the case of a text

  1. 1Paste or type your text into the input box
  2. 2Read the iNVERSE cASE result below it
  3. 3Copy it with the copy button
  4. Your text with every letter's case swapped.

What you get

  • Every letter is flipped. Each capital turns small and each small letter turns into a capital.
  • Result as you type. There is no convert button: the output updates with every key.
  • Nothing is uploaded.Your text is converted in your browser and never sent anywhere.

What you can do

  • Fixes a paragraph typed with Caps Lock on by flipping it back: "hELLO, hOW ARE YOU?" becomes "Hello, How are you?".
  • Leaves digits, spaces and punctuation as they are.
  • Works with accented letters and other alphabets that have two cases.

Good to know

  • The flip is per letter, not per word. A text in mixed case stays mixed, just reversed.
  • A letter such as the German ß has no single capital, so it becomes SS.
  • Flipping twice does not always bring back the original, for example with ß.

Questions

What does inverse case do?

It reverses the case of each letter. Capitals become lowercase and lowercase letters become capitals.

Can I fix text typed with Caps Lock?

Yes, if only the first letter of each word was meant to be capital, the flip gives exactly the right result. Otherwise try Sentence case.

Is it the same as toggle case?

Yes, toggle case and inverse case are two names for the same thing.

Is my text sent to a server?

No. The conversion runs in your browser on your device. Your text is not uploaded or stored.
