Remove invisible characters from text: zero-width spaces, the byte order mark, soft hyphens and other hidden marks that break searches, code and copy and paste. Non-breaking spaces become normal spaces. It runs in your browser.

Good to know
- Zero-width non-joiners are needed in some scripts, such as Persian. Removing them can change how those words look.
- Removing the joiner also splits emoji that are built from several parts.
- Other kinds of spaces, such as thin or em spaces, are left as they are.
Questions
How do I remove zero-width spaces from text?
Paste the text into the Input box. The Result box shows it without zero-width spaces and the other hidden marks.
What happens to non-breaking spaces?
They become normal spaces. Everything else on the list is deleted.
Why does my text have hidden characters?
They often come along when you copy from web pages, PDFs, chat apps or AI tools. They do not show on screen but can break code, searches and comparisons.
