Reverse lines

Reverse the order of lines: the last line becomes the first and the first becomes the last. Good for turning a list or log upside down. Every line keeps its own text. It runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded.

How to reverse the order of lines

  1. 1Paste your lines into the Input box
  2. 2The Result box shows them in reverse order
  3. 3Click "Copy" to take the flipped list
  4. The same lines, from last to first.

What you get

  • Your list stays private. The lines are flipped in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Lines are not altered.Only the order changes. The text of each line stays as it is.
  • Result as you type.No button to press: it updates with every edit.

What you can do

  • Flip a list or a log so the newest or last entry comes first.
  • Reverse lines of any kind: names, numbers, code, lyrics.
  • Keep blank lines, which move to their mirrored position.
  • Copy the reversed list with one click.

Good to know

  • This only reverses the order of lines. To reverse the letters of each line use "Reverse text", to reverse the words use "Reverse words".
  • A line break at the very end of your text becomes an empty first line in the result.
  • It does not sort. For an alphabetical order use "Sort lines alphabetically".
