What you can do
- Translate the letters A to Z and the digits 0 to 9 into dots and dashes.
- Include common punctuation: . , ? ! / @ = - ( ) : and the apostrophe.
- Write upper and lower case the same way, since Morse has no case.
- Translate Morse code back with Morse code to Text.
Good to know
- Letters are separated by one space and words by " / ".
- Characters Morse has no code for here, such as ä, ß or emoji, are left out of the result.
- The output is text made of dots and dashes. The tool does not play sound or light.

How do I convert text to Morse code?

How are words separated?
With a slash between spaces, like "... --- ... / ... --- ...". Letters inside a word are separated by a single space.
What happens to letters like ä or ü?
They have no code in this tool and are skipped. Write them as ae or ue if you want them to appear.
