What you can do
- Show the number of every character in your text: "A" is 65, "a" is 97, a space is 32.
- Convert letters, digits, punctuation and line breaks. A line break shows as 10.
- Handle characters beyond ASCII too: each one gives its Unicode number, so "é" is 233 and a smiley is 128512.
- Turn the codes back into text with Decimal (ASCII codes) to Text.
Good to know
- The numbers are character codes, not bytes. Characters above 127 give their full Unicode number, not several UTF-8 bytes.
- Codes are separated by single spaces and written without leading zeros.
- For hex, binary or octal byte values, use the matching Text to Hex, Binary or Octal tools.
